Pete on Marc and Dave on Microformats
Good to see Marc and Dave's mighty brains teaming up on something like this. I approached Marc not to long ago about possible Q&A microformats in particular. Summed it up here. Although Arnaud, Pete and Cori have given me highly-informed input on how to create a blogospheric Wondir that doesn't necessarily depend on a Q&A microformat, it may still have value as a side project to keep on the horizon, as Qs and As are a very distinct pair-unit of microcontent.
Link: Pete on the power of microformats Maybe we'll be able to develop a Q&A microformat at some point as several have suggested.
Link: Software Only: Just tested Google Talk: neat, still a bit basic, more open and as clear as Skype.... Have a look at his comparison chart of various IM clients.
Link: QTSaver: Welcome On board, Eddie ! Look's like Zeev has a new developer on board for his QTSaver platform, which Zeev describes as:
... my new research tool, QTSaver, which extracts info from multiple sites into one document, which then can be sorted so that in a very short time you can write an article without using a word of your own.
Link: Skype opens IM and Presence to the world - iBLOGthere4iM. Good for them. It couldn't come on a scarier day for Skype though, given the launch of Google Talk, which I've tried and have to say I like. I dowloaded Skype last year but was too confused to move forward with it right away- not Skype's fault but mine. But I do have to give it to Google- simplicity is golden.
Link: talk.google.com - iBLOGthere4iM. Hmmm... I'd love to see Google IM using Jabber- the open-source (and depending on how its implemented, interoperable) IM platform. Wondir uses Jabber for WIM (Wondir Instant Messaging) as well. Jabber is a good thing.

You know the Tom & Ray Car Talk show? Well we're proud to annouce a partnership with Tom and Ray’s counterpart website- CarTalk.com (you can see the
partnership here). It's a Car-focused, Live Q&A feature powered by Wondir. Given Tom & Ray's endearing, self-deprecating humor, they're calling it "Ask Someone Smarter than Us" and you can see the here. If you've got car questions or answers, please jump in. The CarTalk community has already asked and answered thousands of car questions.
