house of the hanged man: Kudos to Allen (and Wondir)!
Thanks Cori! You've been enormously helpful and supportive as I try to navigate (often blindly) through the intricacies of social software, Web 2.0, whatever the meme might be...

If you haven't heard already, yesterday it was announced that Wondir Inc was
acquired by Revolution Health Group. Feel free
to check out the press
release or the
article in Information Week. Needless to say, we're very happy about it and are proud to be part of such a consumer-empowering health company.
Please be assured that the acquisition will not disrupt the
current community at Wondir.com. In fact, we only expect it to make the
community better. Although we will have an entity focused on health-related
Q&A, the current entity focused on all categories (Wondir.com) will
continue to grow, thrive and improve.
Of course, feel free to ping us if you have any questions about the news.

Thanks Pete. Yes, the quantity is remarkable, probably b/c we make it so easy to ask and answer, and it's of course free. Most Q&A sites either make it relatively difficult to ask or answer, are pay-per-answer, or both, and have less activity as a consquence. Compared to sites like Google Answers, which gets only a couple hundred Qs and As per day, we think Wondir's numbers say it all, especially when you consider the relative size of our company.
Nice to know I'm not the the only one that read the NYT piece on Q&A sites, including Wondir, this week :)
More from Bondhunter. At least one of his suggestions (line/paragraph breaks in posts at Wondir) was taken to heart and went live last week, so we're definitely listening.
Rojo launches Rojo Scriptlets. I'll definitely be using these in cohoots with the Rojo sharing feature.
Pete on Marc and Dave on Microformats
Good to see Marc and Dave's mighty brains teaming up on something like this. I approached Marc not to long ago about possible Q&A microformats in particular. Summed it up here. Although Arnaud, Pete and Cori have given me highly-informed input on how to create a blogospheric Wondir that doesn't necessarily depend on a Q&A microformat, it may still have value as a side project to keep on the horizon, as Qs and As are a very distinct pair-unit of microcontent.
